Eugenio Orona, Jr., MSN/MBA, RN

Eugenio Orona, Jr is a healthcare professional with strong leadership skills and proven strategic initiative success. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedar Crest College in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University in 2007.

After receiving his Baccalaureate in Business Administration at Drexel University in 2004, Mr. Orona spent a few years working for a non-profit organization helping individuals in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods develop business plans. This experience led him to become an executive at a materials company and open a restaurant.

The Cedar Crest College Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) program was rigorous, especially while working. However, Mr. Orona had many great moments, such as being awarded the Partners in Nursing scholarship and the inauguration of the national nursing honors society. These achievements led to Mr. Orona earning a BSN in January 2020, passing the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX), and becoming a Registered Nurse (RN).

Entering the nursing field at the start of COVID-19 was challenging as a Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse; however, it was also gratifying for Mr. Orona, including earning multiple Daisy Awards. Becoming a travel nurse has helped with learning how hospital policies, practices, and processes vary from one site to another. This information and learning various leadership skills will be helpful after earning a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) in the Healthcare Administration Dual Degree program from the University of Mary.
